    Samar Island is the 3rd island in the Philippines, located in the Visayas region of the country. It is part of the Eastern Visayas group of islands and is situated to the east of the larger island of Leyte.

    Samar Island is located in the eastern part of the Philippines. It is bordered by the Philippine Sea to the east, the San Juanico Strait to the west (separating it from Leyte Island), the Samar Sea to the north, and the Leyte Gulf to the south. The wet season typically occurs from June to November, with the possibility of typhoons affecting the island during this period. The dry season usually spans from December to May.
